He will run away about 20-30 yards adn look back to see if you meant to be a threat to him or if he is ok... then you do it again, yell loudly to get out of here, make loud noises, throw something at him (her suggested noise maker is a juice jug with rocks it, or at least an empty water bottle you can crinkle to make noise and throw). </div><div>-REPORT it to the Hotline (469) 676-9813 and send any photos or videos to Officer Sutherland at (469) 934-6403 OR <a href="mailto:DASWildlife@dallas.gov">DASWildlife@dallas.gov</a></div><div>* Apparently they are getting too comfortable feeling like this is their territory and need us to give them consequences (loud yelling, scaring them) so they realize it's not... if we are quiet and take pictures or go indoors instead of standing our ground they feel welcomed. They are looking for rewards- food left out and small animals or rodents (construction sites are prime for this) or cats that are left out are a target. BUT she assured me they are easily scared and will not attack if we can start working on standing our ground they easily change their behavior in 2-3 days and will only come in the middle of the night. "Like a teenager they work on rewards adn consequences and if there is no consequence to their coming in late for curfew, they'll come home later and later" or in the coyote's case, further into daytime.</div><div><br></div><div>*She is tracking a few coyotes and families to help retrain but needs reports to do so... thank you for reporting!!</div><div><br></div><div>Candace Crofford</div><div>214-662-6331</div><div><br></div><div>I will also attach some pamphlets to read if you'd like. </div></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr"></div></div></body></html>
