In our neighborhood there are a few: the south side of Royal Ridge and the homes along the alley between Reaumur and St. Lazare/Beaver Brook. </b>Those homes will transition to curb pickup in July 2026.</div><div dir="ltr"><br>https://dallascityhall.com/departments/sanitation/Pages/curbtransition.aspx</div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">A lot of neighborhoods around us were much more heavily impacted compared to our own. <b>Part of the decision which streets transition to curb pickup was based on whether the majority of homes on a block have front facing driveways.</b> As we’ve had a number of new homes built in the neighborhood, I’d recommend we put an effort towards ensuring homes are not built with front facing driveways (as that is mandated by our neighborhood’s deed restrictions anyways). This will help prevent more streets in our neighborhood from being transitioned to curb pickup.</div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">More details can be found in this article from Dallas Morning News: <a href="https://www.dallasnews.com/news/politics/2025/07/03/dallas-dallas-city-council-dallas-trash-dallas-garbage-dallas-city-hall-dallas-sanitation/">https://www.dallasnews.com/news/politics/2025/07/03/dallas-dallas-city-council-dallas-trash-dallas-garbage-dallas-city-hall-dallas-sanitation/</a></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">Sincerely,</div><div dir="ltr"><div dir="ltr">Cathy Brightman<div dir="ltr">4241 Meadowdale Lane<br><div><br></div><div>Sent to you on iPhone via AT&T.</div></div></div></div></div></div></body></html>
