
<html class="apple-mail-supports-explicit-dark-mode"><head><meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"></head><body dir="auto"><div dir="ltr"><meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">Hi Neighbors,<div><br></div><div>Many people have expressed concern about the house at 10728 Brookport Place. There is activity going on that I thought many people would be interested in.</div><div><br></div><div><ul><li>A court hearing is scheduled for this coming Monday 1/12 at 9am at the Dallas City Municipal Court (2014 Main St, Dallas, TX 75201), courtroom 11 on the 4th floor. It is a docket hearing so the case specifically concerning this house is somewhere within the docket of various other cases. The docket hearing will probably end by 11am. The hearing is open to the public so feel free to attend in person if you’re interested. </li><li>The city attorney is asking for the house to be vacated and demolished. It seems like he feels pretty confident the judge will approve the vacancy request but is unsure about the demolition. If the vacancy request is approved, the occupants will have a certain amount of time to vacate (probably 30 days). After which the city would board up the property to prevent re-entry.</li></ul></div><div>The city attorney is being kind enough to relay to me what the outcome is on Monday’s hearing. So when I hear from him next week, I’ll share that update here (unless any of you go to the hearing in person and want to share with us first!)</div><div><br></div><div>Hope that’s helpful - and fingers crossed for a good outcome come Monday!</div><div><br></div><div>Sincerely,</div><div><br id="lineBreakAtBeginningOfSignature"><div dir="ltr">Cathy Brightman<div><br></div><div>Sent to you on iPhone via AT&T.</div></div></div></div></body></html>
