Hi Neighbors,

Our financial manager holds monthly seminars and I thought some of you may
be interested in this one-it's a nice basic one for younger people. He's a
CPA, teaches a certificate program at SMU, volunteers to teach money
management to prisoners, and is an all around great guy. The meetings are
usually PowerPoint based and he gives a handout to take home. His meetings
are a nice reminder to keep watch on your finances. Here's his website:

Have a great 4th,

PS. Take his parking map seriously!

Subject: Fw: July 11th Seminar - for those who don't care - What You Do Need
to Know

Lost track of dates with the upcoming holiday, so let me get to this
invitation immediately.

After last month's seminar, a participant came up to me and lamented that
someone who could really have used the information didn't come. And that's a
bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy isn't it - that those that don't care
about certain financial matters will not attend. But as I have found in
dealing with clients as a result of death or divorce, there is a basic
amount of information that they should have known and did not. And now wish
they did.

So, July's seminar is for those who have no interest in the subject - call
it "That's why I married you" or "It's boring" or "I have blank checks left
but the bank says I have no money?" This hour is for those who may never
have come or may never come again, but this could be a most important lesson
in what you really do need to know. I promise to go high level in laying out
what every individual - whether single or spouse or child - needs to know
about finances. I will not teach you how to invest, bracket manage your
income taxes, or how to decide when to take social security. Instead, we
will concentrate on the most important financial matters you need to know
about.

Who should attend? Probably not the usual crowd but, of course, all are
welcome, especially if you might take this back to someone who still refuses
to come. This is like a get out of jail free card. One hour, and I will
never bother you on a second Tuesday again.

Logistics - meet at 10325 Country Club Dr Dallas Tx 75218 at 7 pm. Parking
map attached. I will teach from the basics so no prerequisite knowledge is
required. CPAs may earn one hour of CPE credit for a $10 admin fee. The
seminar is, of course, always free and your friends and neighbors are
invited.

Food theme - for those never attending, we cite a food item to share among
the participants. Tradition dictates that this month the criteria is any
food item, but it must have predominant colors of either red, white, and
blue.

Let me know you can join us.

Thanks.
