Neighbors,

I thought you may be interested in our city council member’s newsletter below, but particularly as there’s a survey <https://dallascityhall.us5.list-manage.com/track/click?u=d0256e635c33af55597cf47ff&id=05206c6320&e=17b62c807f> to give feedback on what the funds from the 2024 bond should go towards. The survey takes about 5 minutes to fill out and is open until Friday 7/7.

Sincerely,

Cathy Brightman

> Friday July 7 is the deadline for residents to give their input via survey for the 2024 Bond Program. It covers:
> Infrastructure (streets, alleys, sidewalks)
> Stormwater & Drainage
> Parks, Trails & Rec Centers
> Critical Facilities (DPD, SFR, Arts & City buildings)
> Economic Development, Housing & Homeless Solutions
>
> It’s important for D13 residents to have their voice heard, and to share the specifics of issues they’d like to see addressed in the upcoming bond package. There are subcommittees meeting to review each category, as well as an overall Bond Committee to shape the recommendation that will come to the Dallas City Council. The link below has the survey <https://dallascityhall.us5.list-manage.com/track/click?u=d0256e635c33af55597cf47ff&id=05206c6320&e=17b62c807f> as well as the Bond Committee review book <https://dallascityhall.us5.list-manage.com/track/click?u=d0256e635c33af55597cf47ff&id=a0765a57de&e=17b62c807f>. It contains details like timelines and meeting schedules—and I recommend reading page 17 for the General Guidelines.
>
> The survey has no introduction—so please advise residents that Bond Projects are to have a life of at least 20 YEARS. So, maintenance or repairs, or even new projects that do not have the 20+ life expectancy are not addressed through the Bond, they are part of budgeting through the General Fund. If you have questions, comments or concerns, please send them todistrict13 at dallas.gov <mailto:district13 at dallas.gov>.
