Roy, I'm sorry this happened to you. It happened to me (and my right-leaning signs) multiple times in the past. It infuriated me every time.
Completely agree with your assertion that we all need to respect each other and we all have the right to free speech; that freedom is the cornerstone of our country.

This act, of ONE SOLE INDIVIDUAL, is not only a blatant disregard for the law but also an affront to the democratic principles we should all hold dear.

Beyond the legal ramifications, this behavior undermines the very foundation of our democracy. Political signs are a form of free speech, protected under the First Amendment. By stealing these signs, these criminals are not just committing theft; they are attempting to silence the voices of fellow citizens. It was obvious the political persuasion of the individual, because one particular sign of a right-leaning presidential candidate was left untouched throughout the neighborhood. And for the record, my right leaning neighbors have the same right as me, a left of center person, to express their opinion on their property.

If the perp is on here (and I have reason to believe he is), and we have you on camera, I urge you to consider the consequences of your actions and to respect the rights of others to express their political beliefs freely and without fear of retribution. AND RETURN EVERYONE’S DAMN SIGN TODAY, and I won’t prosecute! If not, I will post your truck, face, and file with Dallas PD.
