Thanks so much, Jordan, for the helpful information about what's happening in the industry, as well as the referral to John Lunardon. I will reach out to him right away.
And I'm still counting on you to let us know when LJE has hail/wind which rises to the occasion of hopefully necessitating a new roof. Even tho' I now will be paying double out-of-pocket if I stay with State Farm...:(
Best regards to all. Liza

Liza,
The insurance market is extremely volatile right now. Most if not all carriers are moving to 2%3%or even 5%. This is due to a number of factors. Insurance companies are tired of paying for roofs after every hail storm and re-insurance (insurance for insurance companies) has gone up and that gets passed down to homeowner.
This is more information than you probably wanted. I refer all of my customers to John Lunardon with The Woodlands Insurance Group. He’s been my agent for 15 years and only one I refer customers to. He has over 40 carriers he can quote and get the best coverage for great rates Reach out if you’d like- he’d be happy to help.

Has anyone else had their insurance co mandatorily raise their wind/hail deductible to 2%?
