 This was forwarded to me from a friend who lives in the Disney street area. I highlighted below what looks like some promising-ish news regarding the sanitation issue.
I know it's last-minute, but they are having a meeting at the Walnut Hill Rec today at 5:30, and sanitation will be addressed!

Dear Neighbors,
 
I am looking forward to seeing you tomorrow night for a live Budget Town Hall on the City of Dallas fiscal year 2025–26 budget. The presentation will cover the City’s overall budget and you canpreview it here.
 
I have heard from many D13 residents opposing the proposed alley-to-curbside sanitation pick up transition.
 
I have also met with Ms. Collet, who initiated the petition so many have signed. I have been working on this over the summer and to me, this conversion proposal is not a done deal.  
 
The Sanitation team will have a table at the Walnut Hill Recreation Center at 5:30 tomorrow (Thursday) night and will stay until 8 pm to address one-on-one questions about the proposed transition and/or specific to your home or block.  
 
The Budget Town Hall meeting can address sanitation from a financial standpoint, but other questions should be directed to the team equipped to work with you directly.   
 
City staff representing several departments will be on site, so please bring your questions or comments on the budget tomorrow night at the Walnut Hill Recreation Center.
