[Neighbors] Water Bill

Mine isn’t as bad this yr ($400) as last. I’m following watering advice from City of dallas WaterDept. They send me an email each week. Based on what’s good for the grass, but I use same amt on shrubs and beds zones. They get their info from Tx A&M. Recently they’ve recommended 6 min per zone on each of our 2 watering days. In 3 cycles, 3:00 am, 4:00am, 5:00 am. So a total of 36 min/week during this hot weather. My stuff is showing stress but nothing has died, except some grass with damaged sprinkler heads. I’ll forward the contact info for several depts at Dallas Water that I’ve used through the years. Gotta love Texas in the summer!Liza

We did have a substantial mis-read on our meter for June.   However even with that corrected it was still higher than our typical summer months.    My husband suspects they don’t actually read the meter monthly, only estimate and the past few months were actual meter readings, causing the big increases.
