[Neighbors] Dallas police took 35 MINUTES to respond to 911 call of “active shooter” at 4:30 am yesterday !!!!

And this, neighbors, is why we need as many members of LJE ENP as possible. 

This event did not take place in LJE, but just across Midway on Brookport. Very nearby. 

If the shooting had taken place in LJE, and an ENP member had called the dedicated ENP cell phone which the officers carry, and if our ENP officer had been on duty, the maximum response time from the farthest-away spot in our ENP area is 3 MINUTES! And the officer would have arrived with uniformed,  in a DPD marked car, armed, and with full access to the DPD computer/communication  resources, having most likely sent out a call to on-duty DPD officers to meet him/her at the specified address. 

Our ENP officer-on-duty hours are determined by revenue raised from annual dues. THE  MORE MEMBERS, THE MORE PATROL HOURS. 

Annual membership is LESS THAN  $1/day. $355 for the entire year. Sign-up/renewal taking place now.
