IMPORTANT CRIME UPDATE

Dear Neighbors,

Our peaceful Royal Northaven community has always been a safe haven – a
place where crime is the exception, not the rule. But in the past few days,
we've seen a troubling spike in criminal activity that demands our
immediate attention and action.

Here's what happened:

   - *Multiple Vehicle Break-Ins and Thefts in our ENP Area*: One vehicle
   was stolen in HNA, another broken into in RNA, and a third targeted by
   thieves spotted peering inside with an *assault weapon in HNA*.
   - *Active Gunfire Nearby*: A stolen truck from Hockaday Estates led to a
   shootout just outside our ENP area. Thieves fired at a homeowner; his son
   returned fire with a shotgun. *No one was hurt*, but the criminals
   escaped with the truck’s contents – *after police took 35 minutes to
   respond* to a 911 call reporting an *active shooting*. *(When we have an
   ENP officer on duty, our response time is 2 1/2 minutes!) *
   - *Squatter in Les Jardines Estates*: The home is under renovation.
   Contractor and owner have added security measures – but this is a
reminder: *empty
   homes are vulnerable*.

Our lead ENP Officer, Michael Trometer has been in direct contact with
the *Auto
Theft Division* and *Criminal Reduction Taskforce (CRT)*. They have a plan
– *but it only works if we do our part*.

That’s where *Extended Neighborhood Patrol (ENP)* comes in.

Since its inception, *ENP has been the #1 reason crime stays rare here*.
Our 80+ hours of weekly patrols deter criminals before they act. But last
year, *we dipped below 50% membership* – forcing us to drain reserves just
to maintain coverage.
