I agree. The neighborhood roads are a disaster and contributes to our beautiful neighborhood looking undesirable and unkempt. I'm constantly dodging holes in the roads as I drive through. Does anyone know how we can campaign to get our community on a bond?India Rubin Sent via the Samsung Galaxy S24+, an AT&T 5G smartphone

If we’re trying to get roads and alleys approved through the city, it be more beneficial to have the roads of the neighborhood repaired before the alley. I have previously seen a map that noted that Les Jardins was rated at “failing” for road condition. That said, I have only found the alley between Royal Ridge and Bonham slated for repair for the latest bond.On Fri, Nov 1, 2024 at 3:29 PM Rhonda Henning via Neighbors <neighbors at lj-estates.com> wrote:
Well, what I learned is that they came out to just patch parts of the alley; and, the alley between Meadowdale & Les Jardines did not get repaired at all (he said that part was not on his work order, even though I specifically asked for that part of the alley to get repaired, too). Does the right hand talk to the left hand over there at the City??Anyway, Jeffrey was very helpful in explaining the process. He said to get it re-cemented would cost around $700K, so that's out of the question. And, the only way we can get the entire alleys repaired and not just 'patched' is if our alley is on a 'bond program.' He said they ran out of asphalt today or didn't have any more but if I get the next request approved as being on a 'bond program,' then we should be able to get the whole thing fixed with all new asphalt. Not sure how to get on a bond program, but I'm "on" it. Will keep you guys posted!Oh, and it's totally ok to drive on it now, too!

I'm sure you've noticed a lot of noise in the alley behind our homes. I had turned in a request to the City about a month ago asking to get the entire alley repaired. They never updated me, so I didn't know that it was approved and that they were actually going to repair it. I'm going to go out and ask one of them about how long it will be before we can drive on it. It would have been nice to have known ahead of time-- so that we could have all moved our cars to the front of our homes. But, at least it's getting repaired?!I'll let you know what I find out.
